What a spectacular event!  I had so much fun and the response to my clinics and demos was fantastic!  Thanks to everyone who stopped by.

MARCH 16 – Saturday

Patewood Farm will be hosting a Liberty training clinic with Pam Dennison.  Pam Dennison is a world renown dog trainer.  You can read all about her on her website Positive Motivation Dog Training.  Her gentle, playful training methods work as well with horses as they do with dogs so we are very pleased she has agreed to work with us here at Patewood.  In this clinic she will work with you and your horse one on one,  teaching you the basic technique and philosophy behind positive behavior shaping and clicker training.   This clinic is a great opportunity to deepen your relationship with your horse while having a blast.  If you are interested in learning the technique but have no horse, you can use one of Patewood’s school horses. The cost for a session is $125.00.  There are a limited number of spots available so please reserve your spot right away to make sure you don’t miss out.  We are accepting auditors – the auditor fee is $25 for the day.  Call 908-459-5089 or email suz@patewoodfarm.com to get a registration form.

APRIL

5-7 – 3 day Clinic with Suzanne Marshall – Riding in Lightness – The French Classical Method

Day 1 is for learning the horse, isolating and understanding what needs to be addressed.

Day 2 is for addressing the issues.

Day 3 is for dancing with your horse.

We have found that the three day format accomplishes the most for horse and rider.  The most effective schedule is to work with Suzanne twice a day for all three days with Suzanne working with your horse on some of the mornings (depending on what you and your horse want or need),  but riders are free to work with her as many or as few times as they wish.  Each session runs approximately 45 minutes with sessions in the AM, then a light lunch (which we provide – we LOVE food at Patewood!), then the PM sessions. The cost for clinics at Patewood a single session a day is $100 per session.  To do two sessions in a day is $150 for the day.  There is a stabling fee of $25 per day if you bring your own partner or you can use one of Patewood’s school horses for $25 per session. We do limit the number of horses and riders so that no one feels rushed. To reserve a space in the clinic, email us to get the clinic forms.  Then send in the clinic application plus a $100 deposit and the clinic release form.  A negative coggins (less than 1 year old) must also be sent in before the clinic if you are bringing your own horse. The rest of the payment is due at the time of the clinic.  Auditors are welcome at $25 per day.

If you need a place to stay during the clinic contact us.  We will try to find you accomodations at one of our houses or we will send you a list of nearby hotels.

27-28 Suzanne will be teaching and performing at the 10th Annual Everything Equine Expo in Essex Junction Vermont.  See Suzanne Marshall Dressage for more information.
